Dialogues Without Borders is a collective based in London, creating spaces for dialogue that confront the past, engage with the present, and imagine new possibilities for solidarity.

We gather multi-directional voices to reflect on memory, political subjectivity, and the urgent challenges facing our world today. From human rights to animal rights, from environmental justice to collective memory, our programmes provide platforms for open debate and shared reflection.

At the heart of our work is a commitment to seeking justice, raising our voices, and embracing our political subjectivity and historical responsibility. We believe dialogue is both a right and a responsibility: a way to face up to the past while building solidarities across communities in the present.

In a time marked by the urgency of ongoing human rights violations, we insist on the importance of creating civil spaces where voices can be heard and solidarities nurtured. Our collective brings together academics, politicians, artists, writers, activists, and community members — anyone who wishes to share ideas, memories, or visions for justice. We engage with art, literature, and media as essential tools for opening conversations and making complex issues accessible.

Dialogues Without Borders is grounded in an intersectional approach. Memory politics is inseparable from feminist and queer perspectives, the fight against racism, and the urgent realities of the climate crisis. Our approach is shaped by the idea of multidirectional memory, articulated by Michael Rothberg: memory is never singular, but a space where different histories of suffering, resistance, and survival can speak to one another rather than compete.

By fostering dialogue across memories — especially within diasporic communities — we seek to build bridges of solidarity. Remembering together allows us to understand world history in its interconnectedness, to resist ongoing injustices, and to imagine new forms of living together.
